Cell Salt User Guide
Now that we’ve got a baseline understanding of each cell salt, lets talk about how to use them!
Homeopathy as a whole is very safe. Cell salts also tend to be very gentle so they’re a great place to start if you’re new.
Cell salts are often sold at local health food stores, and I will post some other online resources at the end of this article. They will often be labeled with the name of the cell salt, the number (1-12), and a 6X or 30X. The “X” means it’s a cell salt rather than a potentized remedy. A 30X would be considered stronger than a 6X. Cell salts are available all the way down to 1X. However, 6X and 30X are most commonly sold in stores. They can be purchased as a liquid spray or in a dry pellet form. We use both in our home and I make this decision based on convenience, although Dr. Murphy does state the liquid is slightly stronger. For example, if you had a 6X pellet and a 6X liquid, the liquid would be considered stronger. Cell salts can also be added to a cup of water and sipped on throughout the day.
Here are some general guidelines on how to use:
Dry (pellet): 1-2 pellets for children
3-4 pellets for adults.
Liquid spray: 1 spray for children
2 sprays for adults
Frequency: 1-3 times per day
Some people are naturally more sensitive than others to homeopathy and that is OKAY. Cell salts are perfect for a sensitive person, including children. You may just need to start with fewer pellets and take it less often. If you tend to be sensitive to perfumes, foods, chemicals, etc., you may be someone who is more sensitive to homeopathy.
In general, cell salts are well suited for treating chronic conditions because the “deeper” the disease is, the more gentle we want to be with the healing process. Chronic means you’ve had it for a while, maybe even for several months or years.
That being said, I do use cell salts regularly for things like colds, digestive problems, and stress, especially with my kids. During sickness, I often will give a remedy as well as a cell salt to support healing. And for really busy/chaotic times where I just need a boost, I like to take Bioplasma which is a combination product of all 12 cell salts.
